This is black worked in black. Pale grey smoke curls across the ground in scrolls and long spirals, thinning to nothing and gathering again, and the pattern resolves only where light crosses it. The drawn line underneath is silver and almost withheld, so the velvet’s own sparkle does much of the work and the effect is a texture that moves rather than a picture that sits still. It is frost forming on a dark window. This one is deliberately dark: the velvet’s sparkle carries and the tracery is for close range.
The jacket hangs open by design, cut regular with no closure, and carries faux fur trim at the hood, the cuffs and the hem. The cloth is a sparkle velvet, 95% polyester with 5% spandex at 240gsm, which is a medium weight with a little stretch, and it is unlined. Sizes run from S to 6XL and it washes cold by machine.
