Antique gold runs in fine lines over a ground of deep teal and near black, turning through scrollwork, spirals and long tapering flourishes. Beneath it the ground is faintly ribbed and shelled, like the inside of a wing case, and the gold is laid on top of that rather than growing out of it. Everything is drawn: no form has a soft edge, and the metal catches where the velvet does. It is chased goldwork over cold enamel.
The jacket hangs open by design, cut regular with no closure, and carries faux fur trim at the hood, the cuffs and the hem. The cloth is a sparkle velvet, 95% polyester with 5% spandex at 240gsm, which is a medium weight with a little stretch, and it is unlined. Sizes run from S to 6XL and it washes cold by machine.
