Green-black holds a symmetrical relief of seals and carapace plate, drawn in jade and dull gold so faint that it sits at the edge of visible. Mirrored forms repeat across the upper like stamps pressed into stone, each part sigil and part shell. The metal in it has gone to verdigris and the light reaches the raised lines only. It is a tablet recovered from somewhere dark and not yet cleaned. These are deliberately dark: at a distance they read as black boots, and the sigil work is for close range.
The upper is vegan PU leather, laced to just above the ankle, and the print runs over the shaft, the tongue and the vamp. The collar, the laces and the heel pull loop are black. The sole is black throughout, midsole and lug tread alike. Spot clean only: do not put them in a washer or dryer.
